A Meade County sheriff's deputy died Saturday after suffering an apparent medical issue. Authorities said it happened after getting into an altercation with a suspect. Deputy Chris Hulsey was executing a search warrant in the block of Greer Road around p. Hulsey was transported to Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana, where he was pronounced dead. He just loved service to community and helping others. The suspect has been identified as Terry Gonterman.

A Brandenburg pharmacist and mother of a month-old baby was killed Thursday night in a three-vehicle wreck on Ky. Sarah S. Hottell, 27, was dead at the scene, police said. Sheriff Butch Kerrick said Friday deputies wanted to complete a final oral interview with Louis Dercqu, 18, of Radcliff.
Suspect charged with manslaughter after Meade Co. deputy dies of medical issue
Sheriff Butch Kerrick confirmed that the boy was the son of one of his deputies, but he declined to give his name. The boy was found dead along with Warren E. Tripp, 50, and Ellen M. Cain, 42, at a home on Otterview Court around 8 a. State police said they were called to the scene after being contacted by Meade County Dispatch about a possible death investigation.
KWCH According to Kansas Highway Patrol, a year-old was injured and his year-old passenger died when their vehicle was struck by a semi. KHP says the two were driving a Honda Accord eastbound on US less than a mile from Meade when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto a county road. That's when a semi driving the opposite direction struck the Honda on the passenger side, sending it to the shoulder. The semi went into a ditch.
