Me and my male partner are getting married in October and are deciding on our honeymoon - im the 'laze around the pool' type and he's the tourist of us both. Id rather a week in Gran Canaria but he has his heart set on Morocco. We've looked on some gay websites and found that the Agadir Beach Club Hotel is gay friendly, but is it really? And with Morocco being a muslim country, would we be hung, drawn and quartered for just looking at each other? Chris x. I don't think you will have a problem in Morocco.
Hi I'm wondering if anybody could help me on this. I was advised that although a muslim country Agadir is now becoming more and more relaxed about gay lifestyle The and canno't seem to bring anything up?? My holiday is booked for end feb as going to Turkey in 5 weeks so just wondered if anybody had any more info TIA. Agadir doesn't have an openly gay scene for obvious reasons but I have found this article with a couple of options that might be of some help My partner and I are going in December we will post a comment when we get back about what we find, the last time we went to Agadir was many many years ago I think Chris Columbus was the boat captain lol it was discrete at that time but many muslim countries have changed inwardly in fact for gay men looking for an encounter it seems muslim countries are best Gay scene or brotherly love as I call it is very entrenched here and my wife and I know quite a few local gays
I'm thinking of booking up for a week in November with my Boyfriend but someone at work has just told me that Gay couples are frowned upon in Morocco. There are quite a few gay people living in Agadir and nobody is bothered with that. When it comes to tourists, Moroccans are rather tolerant and it does not show anyway, because also Moroccan men hold hands walking along the streets.
